Shawn Groves has over 25 years of investment and corporate finance experience at institutional investment and wealth management firms. Shawn is helping direct fund operations, marketing, research, and distribution for MWC Group to deliver securitized art investment strategies to wealth managers and institutional investors. Shawn previously worked in portfolio management roles at leading private equity and hedge fund firms. He has also directed investment platform strategy in allocator roles at large wealth management, wirehouse, and broker-dealer firms. Shawn earned a BBA in finance at Texas Christian University and an MBA in finance at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Allen Sukholitsky, CFA

Allen Sukholitsky, CFA

Chief Investment Officer

Allen Sukholitsky, CFA is the Chief Investment Officer of Masterworks. Masterworks, the leading art investment platform for self-directed investors, launched MWC Group to deliver diversified art-investment solutions to financial advisors and institutional investors. Most recently, Allen was a Senior Market Strategist at Goldman Sachs, focused on investment strategy, portfolio construction, and investment implementation. He was also previously an Investment Counselor at Citi Private Bank, working with UHNW clients on asset allocation and manager selection. Allen is a CFA® charterholder and has a B.A. in Economics & Political Science from Columbia University. He has almost two decades of global economic and investment experience.

Evan Goldschneider

Managing Director, Institutional Sales

Evan Goldschneider has over 16 years of industry experience in alternative investments. He has served in institutional investing and capital raising roles for hedge funds, private credit managers and venture capital funds. From 2016 to 2022, Evan was a partner and co-founder of Hawthorne Lane Capital Group, a placement agent focused on niche, emerging managers. He also ran a fund of hedge funds at Beachhead Capital Management and raised the majority of the firm’s $600M in assets. Additionally, Evan was an investment committee member and Strategy Head at Olympia Capital Management, a $6B fund of hedge funds. Evan has a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Scott Lynn is a serial entrepreneur and one of the country’s top art collectors. Scott has been an active collector of Contemporary art for more than 20 years and has built an internationally-recognized collection of Abstract Expressionism that has included works by Clyfford Still, Barnett Newman, Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, and more. Scott serves on the board of Masterworks, v2 ventures (Vueplanner, Pushly, Reachmobi, and Sellozo), Payability, and the Brooklyn Rail (a non-profit art publication).

Nigel Glenday

Nigel Glenday

Chief Financial Officer

Nigel Glenday has over 15 years of experience across specialty finance, corporate strategy, investment banking and the art market. Prior to Masterworks, Mr. Glenday was a Managing Director at Athena Art Finance, an art-collateralized finance company backed by the Carlyle Group and acquired by YieldStreet in 2019. Mr. Glenday began the first decade of his career as a financial institutions investment banker focused on specialty finance, banks and financial technology companies at UBS Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley and StormHarbour Partners.

Masha Golovina has over 10 years of experience in art economics, market research, and risk modeling. As an Associate Vice President at Christie’s, she oversaw risk and profitability over a broad spectrum of accounts and markets. Previously she worked in Specialized Analytics at Citi for 3 years, where she managed portfolio strategy.

Evan Beard

Evan Beard

Executive Vice President, Private Sales

Evan Beard is Executive Vice President, Head of Private Sales. Prior to joining Masterworks, he was Head of Art Services at Bank of America Private Bank, where he oversaw the end-to-end provision of services to clients in the art world, including art-secured lending, auction consignment, estate planning, and philanthropic services. Prior to joining Bank of America, Evan was a strategy manager at Deloitte Consulting, where he worked with hedge funds, private banks, art-secured lending firms, and private clients. Previously, Evan served as a U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer in Washington, D.C., and the Middle East. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master’s degree in the Classics from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, and a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
